If you have had a nose bleed which has now stopped, do not:
If you do, your nose might start bleeding again.
If the bleeding has not stopped within one hour or you feel unwell, then return to the Emergency Department.
If you have broken your nose, you may require an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist opinion. Please look at your nose in 5 days’ time when the swelling has gone down.

You may have been prescribed an alternative pain killer, please refer to specific advice for that tablet if this is the case.
If you have any ongoing concerns or queries about your nose injury you should contact NHS 111 or your local GP. If your concern is urgent or an emergency attend your local Emergency Department.
