We are sorry you have had to come for emergency care as you are having some vaginal bleeding.  We appreciate that this is a very worrying and distressing time for you, so we have given you a comfort bag for you to use whilst in the Department.

 You will be seen by the most appropriate team as soon as possible.  But please be aware that there may be a delay, in seeing you, due to other emergencies.

 If your sanitary towel becomes saturated with blood within 30 minutes, please urgently tell a member of the nursing staff.

 If you are in pain, please ask a member of our team for some pain relief.

 The comfort bag gives you some information and things to make this visit more comfortable.

The bag contains:

• Sanitary towels

• Freshness wipes

• Disposable bag

• Disposable pants

 Please make sure that any used items are placed into a yellow or orange bin or a sanitary towel bin.
