Wear and Care Instructions for Soft Wrist/Hand Splints

These splints are designed to provide support around your hand/wrist, and they are made from a soft material.

If you have any of the following, during or after you have worn the splint, you must stop wearing the splint immediately:

  • Rashes or any type of skin reaction
  • Reddened area of skin
  • Increased pain
  • Increase in swelling
  • Numbness or tingling
  • General feeling of being unwell

You must also contact the Hand Therapy Team at the Bradford Royal Infirmary.  Telephone 01274 364347, Monday to Friday between 8.00 am and 4.00pm.

Caring for your splint

  • Splints can be hand washed or washed according to their care label
  • Remove any metalwork prior to washing
  • Air dry the splint at room temperature. Do not tumble dry or place your splint on a radiator
