About our Patient Information Resource Library

The Patient Information Resource Library is designed to provide the right information at the right time, to help our patients make informed decisions about their health, care and well being needs. We want everyone to be involved as much as possible in the decisions about their treatment and aftercare. One way to do this is to help our patients to have an understanding of what’s happening from the start. Our staff are available to talk to you about your care and will do this in an open and honest way, so please ask. We appreciate that as a patient, relative or carer, understanding a medical condition and treatment can have an impact on recovery.

The information leaflets that you will find in this library are about conditions, treatments and services provided by our hospitals. They are written by health professionals and are reviewed regularly to make sure all the information is up-to-date.

You can search for information alphabetically, by condition or illness. Information can be viewed on any device and it can also be translated into other languages. Links to other sources of useful information are also included where appropriate.
