Feeling poorly
Some of the drugs used to treat your cancer can effect how you feel. They can make you feel poorly.

Contact the oncology team
You can ring this number:
07970 343305. This helpline number is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If nobody answers please always leave a message with your:
- name
- telephone number
- date of birth
- hospital number (which can be found on the red or green card you were given at consent).

Contact for help
You will need to contact the oncology team for help if you have the symptoms below.
If you have any other concerns not listed, please ring the helpline number.

You have high a temperature
You have a temperature of 37.5 degrees or above.

You have a low temperature
You have a temperature of 36 degrees or below.

Signs of infection
If you have any signs of infection; hot or cold – shivers

Feeling sick
Nausea or vomiting not controlled by your medicines.

Diarrhoea
If you have 2 or more episodes of diarrhoea in 24 hours.

Sore mouth
If you start to develop a sore mouth that stops you eating or drinking.

Blood traces
Blood in your wee or poo.

Coughing
You can’t stop coughing.

Bleeding
You will need to contact the oncology team for help if you notice any forms of bleeding.

Or if you need to go to the dentist.
